Use for strawberry shortcakes, as a pie filling, or as an ice cream topping!

Ingredients:

2 pints of strawberries

5 tablespoons of sugar (or sugar substitute)
¼ cup water

Directions:

  1. Clean, hull, and halve strawberries.
  2. Over medium heat, mix the strawberries, water, and sugar. Use a fork to mash strawberries a little.
  3. Continue to stir until bubble.
  4. Allow to bubble 5-6 minutes, until it begins to thicken. Continue stirring.
  5. Remove from heat, serve, and enjoy!

  3. We've been buying frozen strawberries recently and I looooove making strawberry sauces! They're so delicious and we use truvia instead of regular sugar so it's pretty good for you too! It's so good on so many things like you mentioned- yum!
