The following tips will help you feel less intimidated by the fashionistas found off the court.
//1// KEEP JEWLERY SIMPLE
Chunky necklaces and large earrings can make a hot day even more uncomfortable (so much weight!). Avoid bangles due to the noise factor. Spectators are required to stay quiet while the ball is in play. You don't want your accessories to cause you to break the rules (or the concentration of the players!).
You are going to be walking a lot if you attend a tournament when multiple games are being played at the same time. You’ll also have to climb a lot of stairs when finding your seats. Choose flats, wedges, or a dressy, flat sandal.
//3// A DRESS IS A YES!
Just watch the length. Again, you'll be walking up stairs to your seat and you don't want to flash the entire stadium
/4// COLOR IS OK!
As Kate Middleton taught us at Wimbledon 2015 bold colors are perfectly acceptable. Make sure the color you choose is tasteful. Avoid neon!
//5// SIZE MATTERS
Of course you'll want a sun hat, but watch that size. It shouldn't be so big that it hits your neighbor or blocks his or her view.
//6// CHOOSE FABRICS WISELY
Almost all tennis tournaments take place outside with little or no shade covering. Avoid denim and other heavy materials and opt for cotton and linen. Don't forget your sunscreen and sunglasses!
